Meet Our New Personal Trainer – Nicole Nelson!

As a former student athlete, Nicole became a personal trainer to help others reach their health and wellness goals safely, based on individual abilities and lifestyles. She likes to train the body as a whole functioning system, and her workouts and programs reflect this. She is highly energetic and is eager to share her passion for wellness with those ready to be proactive in their fitness.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning Internship (Strength Coaches, University of Minnesota).

Onsite Demo Classes

We invite our Health & Fitness Center members to come and meet Nicole during a demo class. This is a whole body strength class using a variety of equipment and movements to achieve a workout that is challenging and doable for all fitness levels.

  • Dates: May 18, 20, 25 and 27
  • Time: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m., then social time from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

  • Class Maximum: 8 participants

Free COVID-19 Vaccine Event (Ages 12+, Registration Required)

Are you fully vaccinated? If you haven’t already gotten your shot, you can be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine at the YWCA St. Paul Health & Fitness Center (HFC). Clinicians from Community Clinics will be administering the Pfizer (2 dose) vaccine on September 17 between 5-7 p.m. (first and second dose).

YWCA St. Paul thanks CHS for partnering with us for Women’s Equality month. The CHS team made a generous donation of 13 boxes of personal hygiene products—ranging from soap to hairbrushes—that will be provided to our Housing and individual participants.
