Sweet Success | June 3

Buzz into the biggest sweetest awards gala of the season as YWCA St. Paul and its Academy of Worker Bees host a star-studded evening of entertainment and awards spotlighting success stories of our program participants, volunteers and change makers in the community.

The fundraiser will be hosted by T. Mychael Rambo and will feature musical entertainment from Singers Annie Mack and Thomasina Petrus, Pianist Thom West and Violinist Emilia Mettenbrink.

  • When: June 3, 2021, 7–7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Event will be held virtually, link to watch will be emailed to registered attendees before event begins.
  • What: Along with entertainment, the 30-minute fundraiser will honor the successes of our program participants and celebrate our 2021 Change Maker Rebekkah Lamar Brunson, Assistant Coach of the Minnesota Lynx, while offering YOU the opportunity to support YWCA St. Paul’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

Rebekkah lamar brunson2021 Change Maker Honoree: Rebekkah Lamar Brunson

Rebekkah Lamar Brunson is a former Women’s National Basketball (WNBA) player who uses her platform to stress the importance of diversity and inclusion. Rebekkah is Co-Founder of Sweet Troo•vi Waffle and Assistant Coach of the Minnesota Lynx, while continuing to be an ambassador for her community. She is committed to outreach that enriches the lives of all Minnesotans.
