As Director of Advancement at YWCA Saint Paul, Sarah O’Brien provides strategic development and fundraising leadership and leads the organization’s development and communications team.
Sarah has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector primarily in development and fundraising. She oversees annual fundraising initiatives including events, grants, individual giving, and stewardship. Previous roles include Executive Director of the Hamline Midway Coalition, Development and Communications Director for The Open Door, and Development Officer for Greater Minneapolis Connections and the Division of Indian Works.
Sarah is passionate about connecting with people who care about causes that matter. She lives in Saint Paul with her husband and two adorable daughters. She is apt to tell anyone who will listen that it is the greatest city in the world.
