Medica Names Gaye Adams Massey to Board of Directors

YWCA St. Paul is thrilled to announce that CEO Gaye Adams Massey has been elected to Medica’s Board of Directors.

“We are excited to welcome Gaye to the Medica Board of Directors,” said John Buck, Medica Chairman of the Board. “In addition to her strong business background in the health care industry, she has a long history of impressive leadership in the nonprofit community and will add her voice and experience to our continued focus on improving the health of all our members and the communities we are proud to serve. Her track record of making a positive impact and giving back to the community reflect our values and is another important factor that make her a great fit for our board.”

Massey has more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive and legal counsel in many health care and social services organizations. Prior to joining YWCA St. Paul, she served as a Senior Deputy General Counsel for UnitedHealth Group (UHG) and General Counsel of Ovations, a UHG business.

Massey is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, is chair of the board of Way to Grow, and is a trustee of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. She is on the Ramsey County Workforce Innovation Board, the President’s Advisory Council of Saint Paul College, and the Partnership Council of St. Paul Promise Neighborhood. She also serves as the co-chair of the Health Equity Advisory Committee of Minnesota Community Measurement.
