Juneteenth: Join us for a celebration with music and community on June 18

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond.

Today Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement.

We invite you to join us for music and entertainment on Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. in Boyd Park (St. Paul) to celebrate and acknowledge a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today.

Food trucks will be available to purchase refreshments. Entertainment includes: Jearlyn Steel • Thomasina Petrus • Johnnie Brown • Beverly Cottman • Brittany Delaney • SingHers • Vie Boheme AND More!
