As Director of Programs, Deena Zubulake provides overall leadership and direction to YWCA St. Paul Program Departments (Youth Development, Housing & Supportive Services and Employment & Economic Development), including racial justice-gender equity-cultural understanding, budgeting/funding, property management, compliance, programming, evaluation and reporting, and staff supervision. She interacts with both internal and external stakeholders and identifies strategies to improve quality and efficacy of services.
Deena has more than 20 years of experience supporting youth and families in crisis, managing housing programs for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, developing life skills and empowerment programming and facilitating youth voice leadership workshops and trainings. She also has extensive experience in community engagement efforts to address systematic disparities, access and equity.
She holds a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Sociology and Intercultural Studies from the University of Northwestern.
