U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a role model and inspiration to generations of women. She leaves a tremendous legacy of service, persistence, brilliance, and civility. We must take time to honor her life and contributions and recommit to the fight for equal justice to which she devoted so much of her life.
YWCA St. Paul recently held an Equity & Justice Community Conversation focused homelessness and housing, and how systemic racism has contributed to current challenges. The compelling conversation provided background on homelessness in Minnesota, as well as tangible ways individuals can get involved.
Over this weekend we lost two of our nation’s giants, Representative John Lewis, and Rev. C.T. Vivian. As we mourn their passing, I hope each of us will take a moment to appreciate their leadership, courage and sacrifice, and the difference it made in our nation.
