Equity & Justice Conversation Series: Social Determinants of Health

Please join us for our Equity & Justice Community Conversation on Tuesday, September 14 at 4:30 p.m. focusing on the social determinants of health. YWCA St. Paul Board Chair Dr. Yohuru Williams, Distinguished University Chair and Professor of History and Founding Director of the Racial Justice Initiative at the University of St. Thomas, will have a conversation with  Reuben Moore, EdD, MBA, President and Executive Officer for Minnesota Community Care .

Social determinants of health (SDOH) are conditions in the places where people live, learn, work, and play that affect a wide range of health and quality-of-life-risks and outcomes. Housing, social services, geographical location, and education are some of the most common social determinants of health.

Dr. Williams and Reuben Moore will engage in an informative dialogue on the economic and social conditions that influence individual and group differences in health status.
