HFC Closure Update

To our Health & Fitness Center Community:

It’s another difficult day, in a series of tough days and months. Throughout all these challenges, we remain incredibly grateful for you and your support.

As you’ve likely heard, Governor Walz has ordered a 4-week closure of gyms to help curb the spread of Covid-19 in our community. We look forward to re-opening in mid-December. Please continue to check for the latest updates on our website, www.ywcastpaul.org.

We recognize the hardship these challenging times have on you and our community and we thank you for your continued support. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we look forward to welcoming you back, in accordance with the Governor’s orders, as soon as possible.

Due to the closure, we will be suspending membership fees for the full month of December. No action is needed from you at this time.

During this time the practice of mindfulness and staying focused on fitness goals are really important. To assist, we are continuing to offer:

We remain on track to introduce our new user-friendly, interactive software system in December which will allow members to access their account online, as well as substantially expand our exercise video offerings and virtual fitness services (e.g. personal training, fitness classes). This will enable members to have a great work out experience at home. Watch for more details coming soon.

We need your support more than ever in navigating these challenging times to make sure the HFC can remain open once the closure lifts. If you are able, please consider a donation (in the comments section, state that the donation is for the HFC) https://www.ywcastpaul.org/donate/. We are very thankful for the contributions received following our October 30 communication. This demonstrated belief in the importance of the HFC as a vital community resource is heartening – as is the new member who signed up just yesterday, the day after the Governor’s announcement.

We thank you for your understanding and partnership as we again navigate this difficult situation together.

If you have any questions about your membership, our services or how you can help, you can reach us at email@ywcastpaul.org or our general manager, Neil Erickson, at nerickson@ywcastpaul.org. Please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

YWCA St. Paul’s Health & Fitness Center Team
