Ready to Emerge?

An authentic connection to your community can deliver long-lasting impact; not only does it nurture us, it also helps us build our social capital, explore our identities and friendships. Being aware of the opportunities and programs available within your local community can be important to your success.

During this critical and historical time, many of us are trying to find our voice and amplify our leadership, but not everyone feels a sense of belonging or has the confidence to engage. If you want to learn more about leadership, advocacy and community building, check out Girls Emerge, a youth program of YWCA St. Paul.

By expanding your leadership skills, you can help advance the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Girls Emerge welcomes young women from across the Twin Cities, including Cis (cisgender) and TGNC (transgender, nonconforming).

Girls Emerge provides young women with the opportunity to create community, affirm identity, explore careers, and promote social justice through a racial and gender equity lens. Girls Emerge meets virtually every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. The summer session starts on July 15 and ends August 19. In addition to the networking and learning opportunities, each month there are also chances to win prizes, including gift cards and self-care packages. Don’t miss this chance to encourage a young woman in your life to invest in her leadership skills today!
