Please bring your littles to help us make art and celebrate national STEAM Day on November 8th at YWCA St. Paul. YWCA St. Paul, along with Free Arts / Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Twin Cities is hosting a kids’ faux stained-glass art class in support of STEAM Day, Monday, November 8.
At YWCA St. Paul, we hold events, share stories, and advocate for victims and survivors as we work toward a world free of gender-based violence. We want everyone to know that domestic violence is preventable, there’s a way out, people want to help and there’s hope.
Little things can add up in a big way. Self-care kits—an assortment of personal care and beauty items—are especially important during Week Without Violence. It’s a time when we raise awareness and advocate for the accessible, effective, and consistent resources that survivors need to build the flourishing futures they deserve.
The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) selected YWCA St. Paul as the recipient of the 2021 Nonprofit Mission Award in the category of Anti-Racism Initiative.
YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. For more than 20 years, we have set aside one week in October as a Week Without Violence—a week to raise awareness and engage action to end the broad spectrum of violence—as part of a global movement with World YWCA to end violence against women and girls. This year, we invite you to join us from October 18–23 for this year’s campaign.
